The Macallan Duty Free Boutique project at the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport involved the complete electrical buildout of a high-end luxury retail environment within an active international airport terminal. The project required extensive coordination with airport operations, terminal management, existing tenant infrastructure, and life-safety systems while maintaining uninterrupted passenger circulation and adjacent retail operations throughout construction. Working within the strict requirements of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), the electrical scope included integration into the terminal’s existing power and low-voltage infrastructure while supporting the specialized lighting, display, and audiovisual systems required for the boutique’s immersive retail experience.

The project included installation of new branch circuitry, panel modifications, concealed conduit pathways, and dedicated power distribution supporting illuminated retail displays, feature shelving, architectural lighting, and interactive customer engagement systems throughout the space. Specialty lighting systems consisted of decorative accent lighting, integrated case lighting, programmable feature illumination, and coordinated lighting controls designed to highlight premium product displays and branded architectural elements. Additional scope included low-voltage infrastructure for audiovisual systems, digital display integration, data connectivity, point-of-sale systems, and coordinated interfaces with existing airport communications and life-safety systems.

Construction activities were performed within a live airport terminal environment requiring phased execution, off-hours coordination, and strict adherence to airport security and operational procedures.
