Taft Electric has operated a dedicated prefabrication shop for over 22 years — making us one of the earliest adopters of prefabrication in the electrical contracting industry.

What began as a forward-thinking investment has grown into a 40,000 square-foot facility that is one of the most capable in California. Our BIM-to-prefab workflow is central to how we operate: components are modeled in BIM, translated directly into fabrication drawings and spool sheets, built in our controlled shop environment, and delivered to the field ready to install.

By removing labor-intensive assembly from the job site, we reduce congestion, minimize waste, and compress schedules — delivering precision-built components that go in faster and fit right the first time.
