Taft Electric’s greatest strength is its people—and their safety is our highest priority. No one should face injury or illness in the course of their work, and we are unwavering in our commitment to protecting every employee on every job site. Our safety culture operates from the top down. From the President to the newest Apprentice, every team member is accountable and empowered to take ownership of the safety process. Management leads by example, supported by a comprehensive training program and a skilled workforce aligned around a single objective: zero injuries. We reinforce this culture with dedicated Safety Officers who partner closely with our Supervisors, providing an additional layer of oversight, conducting detailed project safety evaluations, and delivering hands-on training to our crews. Together, we maintain a workplace where safety is not a requirement—it’s the standard.

Taft Electric began its Lean journey in 2007 and joined the Lean Construction Institute (LCI) in early 2008. Since then, we’ve been committed to advancing more efficient, collaborative project delivery across the industry—becoming a corporate sponsor of LCI and actively supporting its mission.
Our Lean efforts are led by our Lean Champion and Coach, Dave Fabulich, who has served as Vice Chair on the LCI Board and helped launch the LA Community of Practice in 2008. Dave continues to serve on the Advisory Board for the LA/OC Chapter and participates in a wide range of LCI programs and partner initiatives, including:
At Taft Electric, Lean practices guide our daily operations. We implement Pull Planning, 5S, Short Interval Scheduling (SIS), job-specific huddles, and a variety of other Lean tools across our projects. We also give back by teaching Last Planner® and Pull Planning sessions for trade partners and general contractors who are new to Lean methodologies.
Since 2008, we’ve successfully delivered numerous Lean projects—and we remain committed to expanding these practices across the work we do.
We Support the Environment Taft Electric fully embraces LEED principles and sustainable construction practices.
